Join the 248th
The 248th Desolation Battalion is an Arma 3 Star Wars Starsim unit built around coordinated combined-arms operations, teamwork and a persistent unit identity. Infantry, airborne, armor, aviation and specialist elements operate together as one battalion.

A look at the scale, atmosphere and combined-arms style of operations you can expect when deploying with the battalion.
What We Are
A structured Starsim unit without turning every operation into a parade-ground exercise. The goal is organized teamwork, strong atmosphere and memorable missions.
One Battalion
Ground forces, airborne troops, armored crews, aviation and specialist elements are designed to support one another during operations rather than exist as isolated groups.
Campaign Focus
Missions are built around the 248th's own Star Wars setting and operational history, giving deployments continuity beyond a single night of gameplay.
Play as a Unit
We value people who can work with a team, communicate clearly and contribute to the unit both during operations and between deployments.
Find Your Role
The battalion contains infantry, recon, medical, armor, aviation and support positions, with openings changing as the roster develops.
What We Look For
You do not need to arrive knowing every system or procedure. A good recruit is someone willing to learn, communicate and operate as part of the larger battalion.
Teamwork
Follow your element, support the people around you and treat cooperation as more important than individual scoreboards.
Communication
Be comfortable using voice communications, listening to leadership and passing useful information when it matters.
Reliability
If you sign up for an operation, turn up ready to play and let your chain of command know when real life gets in the way.
Good Attitude
Take the operation seriously enough to support immersion while remembering that the unit exists because everyone is here to enjoy the game together.
